If your education brings you home, why are you still away?
I’m still at my dad’s house, and really it’s pretty peaceful. My dad’s house is really nice and well maintained, and more than not I’m getting used to having to be a neat freak. I don’t like it, but it’s not impossible. I’ve received all of my books for college now except for my history book, which hasn’t even been shipped yet. It might not come until after I move into my dorm, and then I suppose that my dad will have to ship it asap. Only missing one book for the first few classes is probably still better than a lot of people.
Sidenote: I’m pretty proud of myself because I’ve been talking politics with Adam on aim for a little while now and we haven’t become enraged. Well at least, I haven’t yet…
Tomorrow I’m getting my nails “done” and on Monday I have a hair “appointment”. These things are pretty new to me, really, ha. I’ve been working pretty hard while I’ve been here to help out and stuff so that my dad/stepmom will pay for stuff like that, so I suppose I deserve it too. I’m not going to turn into a crazy barbie girl but I think indulging in such practices sometimes is okay. Before I drive up to Atlanta to move into my dorm, I have to get my checks from my dad for my parking fee and my meal plan. I also have to go grocery shopping for kitchen essentials like ramen noodles, salt and pepper, macaroni and cheese, etc. Important things, you know. I’m having dinner at my mom’s on Tuesday, too, which should be fun or something.
I’m going up to South Dakota to visit Eric over labor day weekend, flying out Thursday night and flying back Monday night. I’m really exited for this because I miss him a whole lot even though we talk all the time. :]
College should also bring a lot of free time and want to get back into my website and interviewing. I want to, at least. Hopefully it’s not too much to handle and too little to late. I did love it at one point so let’s see if I can get that back.
