It was the look on your face when I called out your name.

This week was pretty interesting, with classes and basically “feeling out” my new school. I really enjoy my courses, for the most part, and as well the teachers that inevitably come with them. My biology lecture proved to be more or less useless, with the teacher basically reading off of his powerpoint that I could just as easily download off of his website and save myself from waking up so early. I attend anyway, because sometimes he gives bonus points for it, I think. My honors seminar is probably going to be my only problematic course, and only because I truly disagree with my professor, or at the very least, I disagree with his black and white view of things. Ironically, it’s a “Race in Atlanta” seminar, so it’s all about… black people. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am in no way racist. I think that people get out of life what they put into it, no matter what race they are. I’m not denying that there aren’t poor people that were born into it, or people that are still oppressed, I just refuse to believe that black people are the only ones. I suppose since this is a pivotal city for the Civil Rights movement, it makes sense. Oh and that my teacher is an African-American Studies professor. Sigh. I haven’t quite decided if I’m just going to shut my mouth and do whatever he says, or if I’m actually going to try to argue my points. I feel like it would be in vein anyway. My environmental psychology course is relatively interesting, though I tend to nod-off in it. I think this is because it’s right after I have four hours of work, which is answering phones/studying, and my brain shuts off. The actual book isn’t boring, and neither are the conversations we have in the class. There are also only ten or fifteen students in there, so it’s probably pretty obvious when I nod off, (I wouldn’t know because I’m generally not paying attention at that point).

I haven’t seen my roommates a whole lot, really. Just in the afternoons sometimes, and this weekend only Denise is here. Amber went home to visit her boyfriend and Brianna went over to her boyfriend’s dorm at GA Tech. I’ve been productive though. I read my chapter in psychology, I cleaned my room/organized some more, I cleaned my bathroom and the kitchen, I organized the fridge, and I watch a marathon of Law and Order: SVU, (I am most proud of the last accomplishment, really).

Tomorrow I am going to the bookstore with Brad because I have to buy a lab supply card, and then we are going to the rec center to see what’s up/maybe ride some of the stationary bikes (cause I hate running), and then play some pool.

Visiting Eric Thursday-Monday. So excited, (inexplicably so).

Looooooooooove,

Jenny

OH, edit: I think I’m going to go into Criminal Psychology. I’ll get a BS in Psychology, and then go to a graduate school and get my Ph.D. in Criminal Psychology. FBI, here I come!
